~ Natural Reserve of Zingaro

In Sicily there are places of beauty still unaltered by man, natural as they were created. The Natural Reserve of Zingaro, one of the most important reserves in Europe, consists of 1650 hectares of unspoiled nature for a total of 7 km of rocky coastal coastline, among dwarf palms, typically Mediterranean flora, underwater caves, romantic cobbled coves and underwater life that proliferates. A sort of earthly paradise that is just about thirty km from our structure, bathed by a sea that cannot be bluer. You will be dazzled, certainly impressed of all this beauty that you'll want to go bac again.

Take a look to what there is to visit around San Vito Lo Capo

Not only San Vito lo Capo: here are the places of interest in the immediate vicinity. Our best suggestions:

~ Scopello

There is an ancient fishing village, about 40 km from Ayres del Mar, which is so beautiful that it has been chosen as the set of numerous films: it is Scopello, known for its Faraglioni that rise imposing from the sea, towering over the marine panorama ; for an ancient trap that still today testifies to one of the most ancient and traditional rites of this territory, the “mattanza”; and for the beam “il baglio” dating back to the seventeenth century, located on a hill overlooking the sea. Without forgetting the pane cunzato (literally "seasoned bread") to try hot, just baked.

~ Erice

If you believe that western Sicily is only sea you are very wrong. Indeed, the sea almost fades into the background after making a leap to Erice, an ancient medieval village located at over 700 meters above sea level and about 40 km away from Ayres del Mar. Here the world seems to have stopped at more than a thousand years ago and everything seems to have remained unchanged: the ancient Cyclopean walls, the churches, the paving and stone walls, the Castle and the Balio gardens. Every strip of land smells of history and it almost seems to be participants, if not protagonists, of a time that no longer exists. From here, moreover, you can admire the panorama of the entire province of Trapani and also the sea and the Egadi islands. You will not stop photographing and you will be fascinated.

~ Segesta

There are places, in the Greeks Sicily o, where there are vivid testimonies of the colonization started around the eighth century BC, a legacy that makes these mysterious places the cradles of history. In Segesta, the city of the Elimi exiles of Troy which is about fifty km from Ayres del Mar, there is one of the most important archaeological areas in the world that fits perfectly with nature and the green hilly landscape, in a perfect combination of art and nature. An ancient temple of Doric architecture and a theater located at 400 meters above sea level, with a breathtaking view of the territory, are still perfectly preserved, surviving the inclement weather of time and the advance of history. Not visiting them would be a grave mistake.

~ Trapani

Almost 40 km away from our hotel, Trapani is the provincial capital. The city in the shape of a sickle, is the city of white salt and red coral, but also of wind and hospitality. An area rich in beaches and historical and cultural testimonies of great importance, monuments, ancient palaces, museums, churches and a historic center that has nothing to envy to anyone else. And if you love good food, you will certainly find a restaurant, a trattoria, an inn where you can satisfy your palate with traditional gastronomy dishes that still live today and make those who taste them happy. Trapani is one of the obligatory stops on your holiday in Sicily.
