How to reach Ayres del Mar
By car
San Vito lo Capo can be reached from both Trapani and Palermo, but also from other places in western Sicily.
If you come from Trapani, drive along the coast (SP20 and SP18) and reach your destination by crossing the municipalities of Erice, Valderice and Custonaci.
If you arrive from Trapani Birgi or from Palermo (airport or port) you will have to take the A29 motorway instead. From Birgi, once you arrive in Trapani, follow the signs for Valderice, then continue on the SP187 and then on the SP16 which will lead you to San Vito lo Capo.
From Palermo, however, follow the signs to Castellammare del Golfo, exit and take the provincial road that will take you to your destination.
